We’ve been going to Simma’s ever since we had them do our wedding cake back in July of 1985, they made this gorgeous breathtaking cake for our daughters 30th Birthday party. Absolutely delicious pastries and cakes. Easily one of my favorite in the city. I would recommend, if you're ever in the area, to give them a try. You won't regret it. Plus you can order custom cakes ahead of time for weddings, birthdays, etc.

I love Simma's! It's such a fun cute place with fantastic choices. It's perfect for taking kids to pick something since there's such a variety. Also got our wedding cake there-red velvet which is SO good!

This is my GOTO bakery for any cake. Period. Full stop. All natural ingredients for their in house cakes. No High Fructose Corn Syrup... YEAH! Just the good stuff. And it IS good! While you wait to order or pick up your cake, grab a wonderful pastry or slice of cheesecake to snack on. Been buying cakes from Simma's for 22 years, starting with our wedding cake, all the way through through my youngest daughter's birthday and wife's birthday last month! Add two more almost adult children, and you get the picture! That's a LOT of cakes! Get Your Cake HERE!! 🙂

Very clean and cute bakery. The staff here is great and very friendly. I was greeted when I walked in and then asked if I needed time to browse, which I did. I just loved that they were attentive and not rushing me. They have a lot of variety of different individual treats. I took an assortment to try and they were packaged so nicely. I definitely recommend. The staff and product are fantastic.

Best bakery! Was craving morning buns but they were fresh out! What? You have frozen ones? Let them thaw, a few seconds in the microwave and it’s a trip down memory lane for your taste buds!

This place is always amazing! We utilized them for our wedding cake over 11 years ago and like so many others, were hooked! We have returned for every birthday and anniversary. They always have cheesecakes and a few other conventional cakes in the case. They are always happy to write a message on top for you. The pastry items and single serve cakes are excellent too. Never been disappointed!

My daughter has a degree as a pastry chef but didn't have the energy after the Hoopla of Christmas to make a birthday cake for her babies first birthday. We decided to venture out and purchase a cake @ Simma's . The selection was plentiful and the prices for such quality delicacies was surprisingly reasonable! Great customer service . We can't thank you enough for making Ella Roses First birthday one we will cherish...because who really cares about gifts it's the cake that makes a birthday special!

We hired Simma's Bakery to do the desserts for our wedding. We had a cheesecake for our wedding party and mini desserts for our guests. The cheesecake was incredible (as usual), and the guests really enjoyed the mini desserts! All were delicious. Simma's staff were easy to work with, they gave very generous samples at our tasting session, everything was delivered on time and looked beautiful. We were very happy with all of our desserts!

The greatest bakery in the area. There is not a thing in this bakery you won't like from pastries to bread and cake to ice cream. Everything is worth their price and their wedding cakes look incredible.

Seriously SUCH an amazing place!! Every single thing in there is delicious - you literally cannot pick something that will taste bad. But on top of that, the people are the sweetest ever! On time I was going to pick up a preordered birthday cheesecake and hit terrible traffic. I called from the car to let them know I was on my way. The lady on the phone was so sweet and eased my stress immediately - she said don't worry, drive safely, we will stay open for you!! Is that amazing customer service or what?? Today I went in and had another wonderful experience. I happen to be on crutches right now for a broken ankle. The employees noticed and I overheard one telling the other, make sure you help her out to her vehicle with the bag. It was super busy in there! Customer after customer coming thru the door!! They definitely didn't have time to walk with me to my car but that's exactly what they were prepared to do! Another customer there ended up helping me but this place is fabulous no matter how you slice it!!

Got there about 420 on Wednesday and line was short although they had constant stream of customers. Got a carrot cake beautifully decorated with flowers for a family birthday after calling in a day ahead. They had it ready at the agreed time, got candles to go with it, and we enjoyed that evening with one of the best tasting carrot cakes we have had. Love the cheese cakes that we usually get here for birthdays.

I called this morning to see if I could pick up a small cheesecake today and have them hold it for me. They were very professional offed to decorate it at no additional cost, while there I also had a morning bun! The best! We have ordered carrot cake for special occasions and are never disappointed! I can’t wait to try the cheesecake. When searching the best in the area Simms’s was a hands down favorite!

Cheesecake is to die for! Purchased a cheesecake with pink roses on it for my daughter's 16th birthday. Everyone loved it and she coveted the last slice for a week savoring it.

Even though many people were in the bakery they had enough people on staff that I was helped right away. They had many beautiful fresh cheesecakes on hand and I picked out a perfect one for my wife's birthday. It really is the best cheesecake I have ever had.

My husband and I had Simma's for our wedding cake this past weekend. We can't say enough about how gorgeous and delicious it was. We had their famous cheesecake as well as a yellow sheet cake, with whip cream and fresh strawberries between each layer, and topped with a chocolate ganache. Our guests were raving about how good it was. They were also very accommodating respecting our request to attach a sheet to the top of the box at delivery so we could make sure we took home all of the pieces that needed to be returned to them. They were also very easy and accommodating during our tasting. Thank you!

Everyone knows that Simma's cheesecake is to die for, but so are their other items. I've ordered many special occasion cakes from here and have always been blown away by the execution, quality, and let's not forget delicious taste. They also have spectacular tartes, cupcakes, cookies, and etc. available regularly.

Clearly one of, if not, the best cake/bakeries in the midwest/the United States. Refined pastries and cakes that one would find in Paris. Huge selection, beautifully decorated. High quality. Attentive staff. Three, very professional clerks, well dressed and fun. On street parking without metters at a busy small commercial district. Note the awards on the wall as well as the signed picture with Julia Child as well as her thank you letter.

It's not just the fact that almost everything I've had here is genuinely delicious, not sickly sweet or standard in any way, but also that the staff makes even having to wait for a bit worth your time. Definitely recommend, definitely have gone back.

Our wedding cake turned out beautiful and tasted great! Our guests could not stop raving about it. Peggy and Christina were incredibly organized and helpful when it came to choosing our flavors and decorations. We got our dream cake at an affordable price!

We went with Simma's for our wedding cake and were so glad we did! Everything was perfect - from the tasting to the delivery/setup of the cake, they were so easy to work with. Our guests told us it was the best cake they'd ever had! We went with the genoise with fresh strawberry filling and chocolate ganache, as well as the cheesecake. To die for!

Couldn't ask for more in a bakery, it's a special place!Parking can be a little tight so be patient and come with a little extra time to get that sorted. The bakery staff park far away to make sure that you can have as much opportunity to find a spot as possible. But believe me it's worth the tiny negotiation of finding a spot. Much of the parking is parallel curb parking on busy streets so be prepared and try to be courteous and take up only what space is necessary so even more people can enjoy this gem.

I miss the quaint, old-school feel of the pre-renovation Simma's. Personal nostalgia aside, the new Simma's is clean, bright, and inviting. And most importantly nothing has changed about their bakery, which is absolutely some of the best you can buy anywhere. Their cheesecake is a must-try, but don't overlook some of their other specialties. In particular their carrot cake and red velvet cakes are absolutely great.If you happen to need a wedding cake, they do a great job with that as well. Excellent communication and fair prices. Zero complaints, and I can recommend Simma's without any reservations whatsoever. Our first experience with them making our wedding cake is what got us to continue coming back for years.

When I need a special dessert, Simma's is my favorite! The cheesecake is to die for! Thin chocolate cake base, raspberry layer topped with a luscious creamy cheesecake! The retail store on 68th street is sure to be busy....head for the ticket machine as soon as you walk in the door. The staff is friendly and efficiently waits on each customer so the crowd moves quickly! The price might seem a bit high, but believe me....it is worth every penny! Great assortment of other bakery as well! Beautifully decorated too! Don't expect any leftovers!

It pains me to have to write a negative review for Simma's because they have amazing quality in their cakes, but the service has always been extremely poor nearly every time we've gone there.They will probably not have your cake ready on-time if you order ahead (which is the point). They will probably not have the writing on your cake done, and they'll rush the job last minute and probably miss details that you requested on your cake styling. You'll also have 2-3 times the wait time of their walk-in customers. These things have happened several times for myself and my family.They did not offer any discount on our cakes for their mistakes... They've had ample chances and blown every one. I really hope someone in their management can shape up their operations.UPDATE:The owner personally called me the day after the incident took place to apologize. She reassured me she would talk to her staff about what happened, and to educate them on what they could've done better. She also offered me a gift card. I am quite pleased she reached out so quickly, and actually cared about making things right. I'll definitely be returning!

Best cheesecake ever! Have to try the owner's recipe for french toast using their morning buns. Wow! Wonderful variety of specialty desserts. Cute upscale party supplies like candles and napkins that you won't find at Target or party store.

I am very impressed with the service I got this past Sunday. My mom and I arrived at Simma's at 12:45pm, when they close at 12pm thinking that they actually close at 3pm. The lovely lady working let us in to get what we wanted and on our way out gave us oatmeal cookies for free. We were extremely grateful for the act of kindness and helpfulness. By the way, they have the best cheesecake but, who didn't know that! 🙂

Amazing cake!! They saved my now 10 year old sisters birthday during the bitter cold. We were not able to get her a cake but Simma's Bakery was able to deliver us there chocolate mousse cake. We are very grateful that even in the extreme weather they were open and had amazing desserts.

I've been going to Simmas for over 25 years and have not found a better bakery....I don't have to look, this is the best!!!!Not only for my family but have given cakes, apple and cranberry breads to co-workers and friends. They have loved these specialty cakes and bread. You can really make a great impression when they try these.You will not be disappointed as evidenced by other reviews.

This my absolute favorite cheesecake! We were introduced to Simma's wonderful treats shortly after she opened in Wauwatosa. Then, the cheesecake became a favorite for birthdays over the years. Still wonderful after all these years!

High end bakery specializing in cheesecake. Cheesecake has a 1st layer cake with cheesecake filling, a thin raspberry jam layer covered with chocolate ganache. They have a delicious assortment of pastries, muffins, etc. Also make beautiful wedding and special occasion cakes. We love this bakery.

My review serves 2 purposes: The 1st is to correct what I believe was a mistake of a 1* rating from Carolyn below. She detailed an amazing story of how Simma's came to her rescue and her intention in sharing her experience. I think it's important to give credit when people have done well, so I just wanted to assist in making sure Simma's received the appropriate rating for going the extra mile for their customer. Now, I haven't been to Simma's in years, but I was looking for them specifically because when I was working outside the home, I recall they had something like an Amazing Morning Bun that I've never found anywhere else. Unfortunately, I didn't find it on the menu so I don't know if they still carry them or if that was even the name of the product I am looking for. I just know that we used to put in a large order at least once a year for the office and I am craving them at home now.

I drove down from Cedarburg (about a half hour ride) for the chocolate mousse cake. That's how awesome this bakery is. It is pricey, but when you make cakes, tortes, and assorted bakery the old-fashioned way using quality ingredients, you don't mind paying for the privilege of great tasting treats! The bakery has a small Café area where you can enjoy what you purchase. Be forewarned - weekends are extremely busy. But remember - it's worth the wait! Call ahead and prepay for cakes, etc. and you can walk in and go the prepaid line.

Totally remodeled and enlarged since my last visit. Always busy, always a favorite. Best cheesecake ever: creamy cheese over a chocalate cake crust, a layer of raspberry and topped with a thin chocolate coat. Outstanding vanilla birthday cake, buttercream frosting, and strawberry whipped cream filling.

My husband and I did a 4 tier gluten free cheesecake for our wedding on June 3rd. The cake was amazing! All of our guests loved the cake. We had guests say that they don't even like sweets, but this was the best thing that they ever tasted. Most of our guests were also surprised to find out that it was gluten free because it was so good! I recommend working with Simma's for your wedding cake. Delivery and set up was included in everything, you just need to return the cake plates and you get your deposit back! Very tasty!
